Role Overview
As the Music Production Course Leader, you will be responsible for the overall management, development, and delivery of our music production programmes. You will inspire students, manage teaching staff, and ensure that our courses remain current with industry standards and technological advancements. This role is perfect for an experienced educator with a strong background in music production and a passion for student success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and deliver engaging music production courses that meet curriculum standards and industry requirements.
- Manage and support teaching staff to ensure high-quality instruction and student engagement.
- Design and update course content, incorporating the latest technology, software, and production techniques.
- Monitor student progress and provide academic guidance and support to enhance learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with industry partners to provide students with real-world experience and networking opportunities.
- Organise events, workshops, and guest lectures to enrich the student learning experience.
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance and regulatory standards.
- Contribute to marketing and recruitment activities to attract new students.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on course performance and student achievement.
Qualifications & Experience
- A recognised degree or equivalent qualification in Music Production, Music Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in music production, including proficiency with industry-standard software such as Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Pro Tools, or similar.
- Previous experience in a teaching or course leadership role within the education sector, ideally further education or higher education.
- Strong understanding of curriculum development and quality assurance processes.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- A passion for mentoring and supporting students to achieve their potential.
- Familiarity with current trends and technologies in the music production industry.
