IT Support Technician
Location: Based at our Head Office in Manchester with nationwide travel to support all sites
Salary: £28,000 to £30,000 depending on skills and experience
Hours: Minimum 37.5 hours per week

We are seeking an IT Support Technician to join our Technical Operations team in Manchester. The role supports the delivery and day to day operation of IT systems across the college, ensuring staff and students can make full use of digital technologies and equipment.

You will provide first line technical support, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and help maintain devices, systems and network infrastructure across the college environment.

Key responsibilities

• Providing first line IT support to staff and students via the helpdesk system
• Installing, configuring and maintaining PCs, Macs, laptops, tablets and peripherals
• Troubleshooting hardware, software and basic network issues
• Supporting classroom, studio and AV equipment used for teaching and learning
• Assisting with device deployment, asset management and system maintenance
• Supporting users with cloud services including Google Workspace and Microsoft 365

About you

You will hold an IT or technical qualification at Level 3 or above and have strong problem solving skills. You will be organised, able to prioritise tasks and confident communicating with users with varying levels of technical knowledge. Experience of creative media software or digital audio workstations would be beneficial but is not essential.
